Landowner Partnerships & Rural Grid Support
We partner with rural landowners to develop right-sized community solar projects that create long-term lease income, respect agricultural land, and support a stronger local electric grid.
Landowners as Partners
We work directly with landowners through a transparent development process focused on long-term income, land stewardship, and trust.
Future-Ready Rural Infrastructure
Each site is evaluated for interconnection strength, battery storage optionality, and long-term rural grid-support value.

We are local and build projects where we live.
Partner with our neighbors
Our land leases provide stable and consistent long-term income to landowners, rejuvenate the land by giving the soil time to rest, and landbanks the family farm for the next generation.
Support our local utility grid
We help meet the rising demand of energy with clean renewable energy while taking strain off our aging utility infrastructure.

How We Develop Rural Energy Projects
Identify
We’re on the ground with landowners from the very start. We identify rural properties located near existing electric infrastructure where community solar or other distributed energy projects may be technically and economically viable.
"We're building a clean energy company that treats landowners as partners, not just plots on a map." - Tony Rummans, Founder
Before a project moves forward, we evaluate utility interconnection, zoning, land use, access, engineering, community fit, and long-term grid value.
If a site proves viable, Rummans Energy coordinates the development process, including engineering, permitting, financing, construction partners, utility coordination, and long-term project operations.
Landowners have no operational responsibilities.

Community-Driven Community Solar
Rummans Energy develops community solar with a local-first approach. We work to identify projects that are not only technically viable, but also connected to landowner goals, community priorities, and long-term rural grid value.
Our focus is community-driven community solar: projects that can create local energy value, support rural landowners, provide subscriber opportunities, and contribute to practical energy infrastructure for Central Illinois communities.
We believe the best rural energy projects are built through trust, discipline, and local alignment.
